My second favorite scent, it’s a very close second to wedding in Oaxaca but I love having two options so I can change it up day to day. The best scent brand in the universe.

Around this time last year I blind bought a bottle of “The Poet”. At the time life had thrown some curve balls my way and this was my way of doing something for myself. As soon as I spritz it onto my skin something about it felt so warm, nostalgic yet sad all at the same time.

Imagine you’re a child again putting on your grandfathers coat. Around the air closest to your face you can still smell his lingering cologne clinging to the fabric. Frustratingly your hair moves to cover your eyes as you struggle to put the oversized jacket on. You go to move the stray hair from your face and the citrus fruit your grandmother gave you earlier still linger on your finger tips. In the other room you can hear the gentle hum of people chatting. As you go to move away from the noise you can feel a soft warm breeze pushing the sent of the fresh cut flowers from the kitchen into the front room. You know you shouldn’t be playing with other people’s things but something about it feels exciting. After a few moments that rush of adrenaline wears off and you’re left with the sullenness of knowing you need to return your new treasure to its rightful place. You take one lingering glance around to make sure no one saw you and you gingerly put it back the garment back on the wooden coat rack. In that moment you don’t think anything of this encounter. Years pass and this becomes nothing more than a distant memory you can no longer recollect. Life happens and the minuscule moments of your childhood slowly fade into the background as other things take precedence. When you’re alone and you’re at your most vulnerable you allow yourself to reminisce on nothing more than vague memories.

This fragrance is like that. It’s nostalgia for those minuscule yet loving moment that you can’t remember. It’s a sense of content that you feel deep in your bones mixed with the melancholy of knowing it won’t last. It’s being filled with bitterness over loosing someone you loved yet deep down knowing they didn’t love in the ways you needed them to.

This fragrance has spoken to my souls in a way that has made me feel the most myself. I genuinely hope if you stumble upon this sent in the same way I did it has the same momentous effect for you as it has had on me.

This is a beautiful, streamlined take on a traditional men's fragrance profile. Performance is great. Longevity is, too. It's really a stunning fragrance!
